The Alpa Reflex was first made in 1944 using serial numbers starting with 120,000[1] It is one of only a few 35mm cameras made with both reflex viewing and a coupled rangefinder. The lens is an Angénieux 50mm f/2.9 in a collapsible bayonet mount. Operating the camera requires a careful reading of the instruction book as settings must be made in the correct sequence.
