About

The Atari VSCp is a portable of the Atari Video Computer System (Atari 2600) and is homemade by Benjamin J. Heckendorn. To make the bulky Atari into a portable, Ben had to reduce the size of the circuit board by taking out sections of unused space. The remains were then put together into the specially desgned casing and combined with controller parts and a Casio EV-550 portable television screen. After the first was made, many variations have been constructed, each is an improvement on the last. Find out more about the construction at Ben's Site. This handheld is a custom made job by Benjamin J. Heckendorn and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the parent company of origin. Pictures courtesy of Benjamin J. Heckendorn. Platform: Atari 2600 Video Computer System.
