The Canon EOS 1D Mark II was the company's second iteration of its "flagship" professional-level DSLR, introduced in 2004. It followed the same body style as the original EOS-1D, a large camera with an integral bottom grip and 1.3x crop-factor sensor. However its resolution was doubled, to 8 megapixels. In keeping with the Pro orientation, the body allows burst shooting at more than 8 frames a second, and a buffer holding up to 40 JPEGs. The shutter speed has been increased to 1/16000 sec. from
