About
The Canon P is a 35mm rangefinder camera with "Leica screw" (M39) lensmount manufactured by Canon from about 1958 to 1961. The "P" designation is for "Populaire" and it was marketed as a cheaper option to the Canon VI-L, the finder has frame lines for 35mm, and parallax correction for 50mm and 100mm lenses but omitted the selection dial present in the VI-L series. The parallax correction pin present in the VI series was also omitted.
