Hansa Canon is the first commercial camera of Seiki Kōgaku's (Canon). Launched in 1936, it is the realization of the Kwanon prototypes and came to life thank to a combination of technologies of Nippon Kogaku (Nikon) and Canon. This is one of the most important cameras for the Japanese camera industry as it is the first successful precision camera to come out of Japan. Saburo Uchida, Goro Yoshida’s brother-in-law and manager of the company’s business affairs, changed the “KWANON” name to “Canon
