About

The Kodak Retina I, launched in 1934, is the first camera on a long line of 135 format cameras. It was designed by Dr. August Nagel who was the founder of the August Nagel Camera Works; he sold his firm to Eastman Kodak in 1932, and its name changed to Kodak AG. The Retina I is a folding camera with the door opening to the side.
