About

The Mecum is a 9x12 stereo box plate camera distributed in Switzerland by Hausamann & Co, St. Gallen [1]. The camera was possibly manufactured by Camera Industrie Austria and based on the CIA Stereo [2]. Built-identical cameras were sold in Germany as the Fitax by Bing Werke, Nürnberg. McKeown says Mecum is a copy of the Neithold Ce-Nei Indupor [3] and it seems the same.[4]
