The Nikon D3 is a Nikon flagship camera, aimed at professional photographers. The camera launched in December 2007 and has rapidly become the industry standard. A higher resolution 24 megapixel model Nikon D3x was released in 2008. A video capable model Nikon D3s was released in 2009.
