Release Regions: USA; Often considered to be the holy grail of N64 controller collecting is the E3 Golden N Controller; It was only available at E3 1997 in Atlanta by winning the StarFox 4 Player Competition on stage.; Nobody knows how many of these were given out; It is considered to be an official Nintendo Item, since it was given out at their own event. Officially there are currently 12 of them in collectors hands.; There are some fake controllers around, please take a look here where they discuss this in detail; Also available as the 1st prize in a tournament in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2001
