About
This might have been given to game developers as an early prototype for the next handheld after the Game Boy Advance series.; However plans changed because Nintendo's president at that time decided to go in a different direction to develop the Nintendo DS.; You can see this as a Nintendo "S" because it is a single screen but it shares some technology with the Nintendo DS.; Because the final product never saw the light probably only a few of these development kits were ever produced.; Mr Satoru Okada, former General Manager of Nintendo Research & Engineering has also mentioned about this in the past.
