About

The Nintendo Zone Box also knows as the "Over-the-counter wireless distribution box for Nintendo Zone," is a device used in game stores and retailers to automate the connection between a player's Nintendo DS or 3DS console and a local WiFi network, which enables the console to receive exclusive content from Nintendo's Nintendo Zone server.; This variant appears to be an older version which would later be replaced by the NZB-001 variant. They work similarly, though this variant actually contains an entire modified DS Lite (USG-001C) inside of its plastic.; This device is powered by a DS Lite charger, which connects via a port at the bottom. This port is connected by a wire to a modified GBA cartridge, called the "power control cartridge," which is plugged into the DS Lite. This cartridge will turn on the DS Lite when it detects power from the DS Lite charger being connected.
