The Praktica camera is a series of 35mm film SLR cameras that were manufactured by the East German company VEB Pentacon. The Praktica cameras were known for their solid build quality and affordability, making them popular among amateur photographers. The first Praktica camera, the Praktiflex, was introduced in 1949 and featured a waist-level viewfinder.
