About

The K-50 was a DSLR introduced in 2013 from the Pentax brand of Ricoh Imaging, offering a 16 megapixel sensor in APS-C format. It was introduced alongside the entry-level K-500, differentiated by weather-sealing and the option of "120 colors," if special-ordered.[1] (This Pentax marketing hook dates back to the K-x. The K-50 offered a choice of 20 body colors paired with 6 grip colors.)
