About

The Ranca is the low budget version to Nagel's rigid-bodied 3×4cm camera Pupille and was produced in parallel to it from mid/late 1930 to probably mid 1931. It shares the same small body, but the execution and smaller details are superior with the Pupille. The Ranca was only offered with a front-cell focusing 5 cm f/4.5 Nagel Anastigmat (a simple triplet) combined with relative simple everset shutters. Even an advanced Ranca was less expensive than a low featured Pupille.
