About

The Reporter is a strut-folding bellows camera for plates or film-packs, offered in at least 6.5x9cm, 9x12cm and 10x15cm sizes by the French maker Gaumont from about 1924.[1] The body of the camera is metal (painted brass in the example cited at Collection Appareils; nickel-plated in the others), and is quite shallow front-to-back, though not as shallow as Gaumont's Block-Notes, because it houses a shutter. It has a Le Klopcic focal-plane shutter, adjustable both by slit-width and spring tension
