On the 24th, Sega Enterprises and Swiss watch manufacturer Swatch held a press conference to announce their business partnership.; They unveiled "Swatch Access," a wristwatch with a contactless memory chip (RFIC) that displays the Internet time advocated by Swatch, and the "Swatch Access Adapter," a dedicated adapter for the Dreamcast.; A demonstration was given in which a URL recorded in Swatch Access could be read and the site accessed on the Dreamcast by simply holding the Swatch Access over the Swatch Access Adapter.
