The Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) dance pad or dance mat as it is also refered to is the "controller" used to play DDR on the Playstation 1 and Playstation 2; It came bundled with the DDR games but was also sold separately; It can be used on Playstations from any region. Some dance pads also have extra buttons outside the main stepping area, such as "Start" and "Select". Pairs of dance pads can also be joined side by side for some gameplay modes
