About
The Sony MVC-C1 was a 1988 electronic stills camera, but not a "digital camera"—up to 50 images are saved as single frames of analog, standard-definition television video, onto special micro floppy disks which Sony called Mavipak. This was Sony's first consumer-oriented[1] realization of a the prototype 1981 Mavica concept (although it followed the costly and full-featured Sony Mavica MVC-A7AF).
