About

The SoulCalibur2 conquest card is a day1 PlayStation 2 memory card intended to be used on the namco system246.; It has both custom filesystem built from scratch and custom ECC sector handling.; This card stores the progress of the "Conquest Mode", a game mode unique to the Namco system246 release of SoulCalibur2.; Due to its custom filesystem, specially the custom ECC handling, plugging this card to a retail PS2 or a system246 (or 256) Wich is not running SoulCalibur2 will result on instant data loss and filesystem corruption.; These cards come from the recalled memory cards during the first week of the japanese PS2 launch, the CXD9585AR and CXD9585R controller chips from these cards have a bug that corrupts the card FAT table. So these can't be used back as normal cards
