About

The XV-5 is an SLR accepting K mount lenses marketed by Vivitar beginning in 1981.[1] This model's characteristic 3 light-meter LEDs outside the viewfinder eyepiece and the design of its self-timer lever indicate it was manufactured by Chinon,[2] in contrast to most of Vivitar's SLRs which were products of Cosina. Notably the flash sync speed is 1/60th second, rather than 1/125; and the top shutter speed is 1/1000 sec.[3]
