About

Zeus is a camera from circa 1950s Britain. Its politically incorrect advertisement notes it is fixed-focus (with a 5cm f/11 'Alphamat' lens), has two shutter speeds (1/25 and 1/75, plus "time"), takes standard 35mm film cassettes, and cost £3/18/7 (about £160 at 2024 value).[1] Notes on the camera at Early Photography state that the advance knob drives a frame-counter:[2] this is a disc on the bottom of the camera, driven directly by a toothed perforation-counting wheel in the film chamber.[3] T
